Indigo Child's Shows

Gig twenty-four: The Star w/This is Seb Clarke *13/07/06*

A local gig supporting the most wonderful Seb Clarke an almost Big band style group, they bring to the table all sorts of musical inspirations! Will be an awesome night and they are expecting us to provide a crowd for them so help us out please!! much love Nic x

Gig twenty-three: Clapham Grand *15/11/06*

This is most definately the best of best gigs we have lined up! No doubt the biggest venue as of yet!! With a capacity for live music of 1010 and an increased balcony bringing it 1550 we definately be dipping our tow in deep water!! Seeing as Oasis, Jamiroquai and the Pretenders have all recently played here it would seem that we are moving into the big league if only a little! If there is anyway you people could make this slightly easier for us we'd much appreciate your help (a.k.a. buying tickets to the event!!!!) If you ever were thinking about going to seeus this night should be your time to come!! I think we are in over our heads, so please come down if ever then now.... Much love Nic x

Gig twenty-two: Bullet Bar *26/10/06*

Another Camden gig in yet another prestigious well known venue, played by many a famous band played in the height of their careers! (Enough licking our own bottoms) Should be a lavish gig with a superb line up and a performance of a very new almost brand spanking set list!!! Maybe see you there!! Directions.

Gig tweny-one: Storm Club *19/10/06*

A gig in the most wonderful of Leicester Squares. The largest of gigs that hath been lined up on our schedule so far... Should be an excellent night and will include much drinking, excitement and merriment with a new song being debuted for sure! Hopefully see you there and in doing so earn back our deposit!! Much love x

Gig twenty: The Miller (return) 23/09/06

The Miller a return for Indigo Child but a debut for Videosprint with whom we share the gig. We are opening, Videosprint second and then another two bands playing afterwards. Should be a good gig with a diverse line up! Hopefully see you there x Directions here!

Gig nineteen: DAVSTOCK! 15/09/06

Hello all!!! Thanks to you guys who actually came to Davstock!! Shame on the rest of you!!!! Quoted as the "Best party in Guildford history" at least in our lifetimes, and also the "Best I've seen you guys [Indigo Child] play", it would seem you have all missed out on much excitement!!!! With an insane hand held light show from charlie and great performances from the rest of the band, (despite the lack and loss of light half way through) we played one of the most exciting, manic and expressive shows of our life!!! It truly was one of if not the best performance yet! Showcasing both of our two newest songs, both without musical glitches was the most fun I think I had in years quite literally!! So thank you all those who took it upon themselves to join the band mid set on stage (Will and Stanway) and all those dancing and singing along in the rioitous crowd! You all absoultely made our nights!!! Special thanks to Rob Slater who made the running of the night faster getting us back on schedule. Also congrats to the other bands for each playing a brilliant set better than we have heard you yet. Thanks again everyone!!! all you leaving for uni, best of luck and more than ever before have a great time!!! Hope to see you all again soon as I am sure we will!!! Much love Indigo Child, Mother Ship out x x

Gig eighteen: The Royal Oak 07/09/06

A local one off semi-acoustic gig by the band, was a pleasure to play and went really well doing an acoustic version of the new song "Silver Spoon". All was well until Charlie tipped over sprog's effects during the acoustic set and the rage was unleashed.... Not a good day for Sprogis however a subdued Rob, Matt, and Ed felt the performance was a success

Gig seventeen: Yr13 Graduation 06/09/06

Thanks to the school for letting us play, the last time we will see a lot of you!! Will miss you all and best of luck in the future at your Uni's and the likes! I know you will all be great and that in 10 years at the reunion we will be muchly famous and you can remember the time we played for you all at your graduation and deafened Maloney and Mrs C. Best of luck to you, all my love Nic x

Gig sixteen: Boom at Halfmoon 05/09/06

The smallest of crowds IC has played to however, a success in that they were made up of mainly new fans... Thanks to those who did come and also The Kellands! Thanks to Rob Slater for taking some pics and a video and inspiring us to create a music video for the song "NBAW". A good performance all round and with a promise of more gigs with the Boom promotions team it was a successful night anyway, much love Nic x

Gig fifteen: 93 Feet East 02/08/06

93 Feet East on the legenadary Brick Lane, provided us with our first experience of Industry interest, however their interests were not in us but in the the supporting band! Psshhhh, undeterred we played a solid set with a debut of our newest song "Silver Spoon" and were pleased with our performance, thanks to all who managed to get the coach and thanks to Sprogis for organising it. Hope you had a good night and that hour wait after the show didn't put you all in sour moods! The coach journey was the most sober thing i have experienced in a long while! But it seemed like people were happy anyway. Thanks to everyone for your support, a band couldn't ask anything more of their friends! Love x

Gig fourteen: The Orange 13/07/06

A coach trip to South Kensington, London - Nics 18th!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone who came down to poshest kensington and and made it sooo fun!! The evening started off as a right f#####g shambles the driver leaving you all in North London when you actually needed to be in the South East!! But ah well you all made it there with quite literally minutes to spare.... Playing with bands singing choruses of such delights as "Slag I fucking hate you! Slag I fucking love you!" and my personal favourite of "Serial Killer! Serial Killer! Put the body parts in the chiller!" Thanks again everyone who went on the coach trip and to Ed B and Rob Slater for organising the coach trip for us! A good show which got us the extremely prestigious Clapham Grand gig in November!! Very pleased about that hope to see a few of you there if you can make it!!! Much love to you all x x x Click here for more details on the venue.

Gig thirteen: Dublin Castle 29/05/06

What a great gig we had a lot of fun and according to a couple of the band members was the best we have played!?!?!? I am not so sure? However it really was a good if not great gig, we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the other bands a lot aswel the Frenchads really impressed us with their weird noises! "I must also say how lovely the Dublin Castle was on Monday, we had lots of fun even if we hadnt slept in a day, a big thank you to Anna, Sarah Emma and Courtenay who came all the way to see us, and Emma I hope your legs OK! lots of love from Charlie X!X"

Gig twelve: Timfest 2006 28/05/06

Thanks go out to Tim and Nick Kershaw who let us play and many thanks to those who watched us! I hope those whom we invited enjoyed the night and feel privileged that they were asked! The three lucky people know who they are, thanks for coming down and hope you enjoyed the show and entertainment afterwards! Hopefully with a little bit of luck we may be asked to come back again next year? But we will see! Thanks again it was a truly enjoyable night and to the other bands for making it what it was! Hope you all enjoyed the light show!? Videosprint especially, who we sung our hearts out to! STICK TO YOUR GUNS!!! Anyways thanks very much all of you! Nic x

Gig eleven: 'OUT-BLOODY RAGEOUS' Night at The Star Inn 09/05/06

Genuinely one of the best gigs I have seen in a long long time! Professional or not this gig was incredible! The bands took us from a grungey, pschedelic wash to a pure jazz sextet, back through our own concoction of psychedlia, prog and funk and finally into th'Great Outdoors folky rock reminiscent of Kings of Leon! It truly was a diverse and Truly brilliant night for music! We are sure to do another soon! Thanks to everyone who came down! You made it what it was, Excellent! Thanks again hopefully see you again ar the next Out-Bloody Rageous night! MWA MWA Nic x

Gig ten: The Plantation cafe 05/05/06

The Plantation cafe, Guildford with Videosprint Th' Great Outdoors and ourselves. Really good night! I hope you all enjoyed it? The bands played brilliantly and we felt we had a good time playing so everyone wins all round! We were kindly reviewed for this gig by an external writer, and felt it impossible to capture our live show in words? However it would seem possible to this man and think it describes us in a nutshell!! Click here to see a review of ourselves and that of Videosprint and Th'Great Outdoors the two bands with whom we played. Thanks to those who came! x

Gig nine: The Miller 29/04/06

A bar on London Bridge very amusing night to say the least! IC were headlining and everything that could possibly have gone wrong managed to do so! However after Matt falling into the drum kit, Ed losing his sticks in pretty much every song, over half the crowd walking out on us during our set, we still managed to walk out with a smile on our face after playing! The reason for this? Dexter Bainbridge, Mighty Boosh star came to our gig after we invited him after seeing him in another local pub! Afterward he and his friend invited us out for drinks and told us how much they truly enjoyed our set, just that we were playing to the wrong people! Anyways thanks to all who came down! Soooo appreciative hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! If that is at all possible???

Gig eight: The Royal Oak 12/04/06

It was with Th' Great Outdoors, lovely people they are, letting us play with them on another truly enjoyable, relaxed local gig! Many thanks to those who came we hope you enjoyed our acoustic version of Come Home which I am sure is to be seen again sometime in the near future! Thanks again to all those who came arguably the best the band has played live due to everyone making us feel so at home! We are looking forward to our next gig with Th' Great Outdoors at The Star Inn at the first of the 'OUT-BLOODY RAGEOUS' Nights run by Magna Jester Promotions on the 9th of May. Royal Oak Pub info here
Much Love Nic x

Gig seven: The Hope and Anchor *10/04/06*

The Hope and Anchor in Islington, London, yes our first London gig! Many thanks to everyone who came down and made it as fun as it was, I hope you all enjoyed watching as much as we did playing! Apart from a few technical hick ups the gig went really well and arguably one of the best live shows we have played to date! "Thank you to everybody who came to our gig at the hope and anchor yesterday evening! The band felt it went well and was a great start to our London gigs, hope everyone enjoyed the set and we hope to see you at the Royal Oak on Wednesday... and this time I hope I dont kick the audience (oops!) much love from the Indigo Control Room Chaz x!x"

Gig six: Agincourt Rock Venue 10/03/06

It was a six band line up including Audio Highground, Tamerlane, Altitude, Roadkill and ourselves. It went really well for us and with the debut of our latest song orchestrated only the night before, everything seemed to go pretty smoothly! "Thank you very much to all you fantastic people who came down to the agincort last night, it was a really fun show and we hope we won over a few new fans and that the old ones like our new songs. Anyways roll on Hope and Anchor! we should be doing a coach trip so tell us if your interested
MUCH lOVE Charlie- Indigo Child X!X"

Gig Five: The Star Inn 23/02/06

Indigo Child organised a gig at the Star Inn, Guildford and good friends Videosprint and another local band Treefinger joined them. Thanks a bunch guys for playing with us and hope we can return the favour soon! "Thankyou very much to all who came last night and showed support for three local bands who are not up to the neck in emo. Thankyou to Treefinger and Videosprint for gracing us with their presence, and please accept my humble apologies for the shitty sound when we came on, its the PA mans fault (honest). And thanks to the bloke (dunno his name sorry) [Phil] who stood in for the PA man, he didnt even accept money (what a legend). I hope everyone enjoyed it as i did and i hope to see you at future Treefinger, Videosprint and Indigo Child gigs.
Keep It Jelly, edchild."

Gig Four: Robin Hood Pub 20/01/06

Indigo Child opened for the Great Outdoors in the crevace that is Robin Hood Pub in Guildford, we were warmly welcomed by the audience, thanks guys! made it a lot fun to play. Rob made a second debut by playing his saxophone for the song Nothing but a Whisper, which went down a treat with the crowd it seems. This will become more of a permanent feature of the band as will be seen in our next recording! We all really enjoyed the evening and many thanks go out to the Great Outdoors for getting us a place in the line up to play with them! Thanks again to everyone who came and made it an awesome evening for us and everyone else there!
Nic - Indigo Child

Gig Three: Backline 17/12/05

Indigo Child played along side other local bands such as Videosprint, Thomm Stone and the Archive at the
Backline Studios in Guildford for the 'Big Red Christmas Party'. It started at 8 and the place was packed! Doors closed at around half 8 when the it became a fire safety hazard! We played first and enjoyed every minute of our own performance and that of all the other bands.

"Thanks to everybody who turned out to the backline gig yesterday, it was truly excellent and really packed out, we will keep you posted on any up coming shows so if you missed this one never fear, thanks again and lots of love Charlie-Indigo Child"
